Japanese Shrine
This model is based off ancient Japanese architecture of a shrine. Creating this allowed for practice of complex shapes and patterns as well as texture and shader creation within the UDK. I chose to add it into a misty night scene to give it a solitary surreal feel.
Photo Reference
I used these photos as reference for building the shrine. As they are all part of the same architectural design; they proved very useful for allowing me to construct different parts of the shrine consistently. The photos were very useful in providing inspiration for creating patterns seen in the gold as well.
